Some users of GeoGebra encounter the following error message: “java.lang.ClassNotFoundException”.
This usually indicates that there is a problem with the Class Path on the system – for example, Java can’t find a particular class within its Class Path.
This is caused by using an older version of Java that is not compatible with different versions of GeoGebra.
Follow these steps to fix this issue:
1. Uninstall all versions of Java completely
2. Uninstall all versions of GeoGebra
3. Clear all cached files and settings from the internet browser
(Click here to see how to do this: http://support.folens.ie/entries/21116677-clearing-internet-cache-files)
4. Restart the computer. This is necessary to clear all settings and files from memory
5. Download and reinstall the latest version of Java through this link:

Some users have stated that creating a new Windows profile/account resolves the issue.
Note: You will need to be an administrator on your computer to uninstall or install software. If you don’t have the necessary rights to do this, you should consult your ICT coordinator.
